BCGE cannot find a replacement for its CEO of 22 years.

Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE) said it has failed to find a successor for CEO Blaise Goetschin’s who would remain in his role, at its annual general meeting (AGM) Tuesday, as reported by «Le Temps».

The Cantonal bank has been unable to find a successor for Goetschin who turns 65 in September, reaching the age limit for the CEO position.

Although the search process had been launched, «it is not easy and there are not many candidates,» chair Manuel Leuthold was cited as saying.

All proposals were accepted at the AGM, including the appointment of Sandrine Salerno, the City of Geneva's former head of finance, to its board of directors.
