Zurich-based asset manager Petiole Asset Management has made two key appointments in a bid to expand its regional footprint.

Petiole Asset Management is appointing Pierre-Olivier Pourcelot as head of institutional sales and Latif Kigouk to head client relationships, it said in an emailed statement Friday.

Pourcelot joins from RAM Active Investments AG where he was the global head of sales and marketing, a Member of the Executive Committee at RAM AI, and a Member of the Board of Directors of RAM (Europe). RAM is the former asset management division of the Geneva-based financial group Reyl.

Pourcelot was previously also the CEO at Robeco (Switzerland).

Kigouk (image above) has been with Petiole since the company's inception in Switzerland in 2018. He will now lead the asset manager’s institutional and private clients across all business lines, the statement said.

Career Start at UBS

Previously Kigouk advised clients in the Middle East and Switzerland. Prior to that, he spent several years as director of institutional solutions at Petiole in Zurich and, since 2011, and was also a senior relationship manager for UHNWI at The Family Office Co.

He started his career at UBS in Geneva where he looked after ultra-high net worth clients.

Sister Company in Bahrain

The team at Petiole Asset Management has been specializing in private equity, real estate and private credits for nearly two decades through its sister company, The Family Office Co. in Bahrain.

Currently, the firm manages around 2.1 billion Swiss francs in client assets. Headquartered in Zurich, the company has offices in New York and Hong Kong.
