AXA France becomes the first insurance and banking player to enter the virtual world with the opening of «Axadia» in the Metaverse. Visitors can search for an AXA NFT.

Insurer AXA France has launched its «Axadia» meta-gaming experience in The Sandbox metaverse, allowing the general public to discover the company's mission, values, recruitment, and social commitments, according to a recent announcement (in French).

According to France's largest insurer, the experience is the first of its kind in the insurance and banking sector. With the offering, AXA joins other firms entering the Metaverse which is seen as potentially growing into a $5 trillion market by the end of the decade, as finews.com reported. The experience is available until March 1, at https://axadia.fr.

In September of last year, the Metaverse got its first Swiss banking branch when Sygnum Bank announced it would open a branch on New York's virtual Times Square, welcoming visitors with a «crypto punk», as finews.com reported. Private bank Julius Baer also dipped its toes into the Metaverse last year, where to attract tech talent, offering a game on the Roblox platform where candidates could take the «Be Baer Challenge».

The Axadia Experience

Now AXA France has joined in. Visitors to its parcel of The Sandbox metaverse «Axadia» can visit several floors which include a recruitment area where players are confronted with tests of resilience and courage. Those more inclined to collaborate rather than confront can visit the innovation space, while the rooftop adventure highlights what AXA says are its commitments to society and the environment. The experience also offers a museum where visitors can follow the history of the firm.

There is also a secret level that can be discovered at the end where lucky adventurers can get an AXA non-fungible token (NFT) in the form of a shield, in tribute to the mission of insurers.

At the end of the Sandbox season, 25 participants will be randomly selected to keep their NFT AXA Shield in their wallet.

There is an additional incentive to participate. If 10,000 participants complete the Axadia experience by March 1, the AXA Hearts in Action association will donate 10,000 euros to the Emmaues Connect association which to fights to deter digital and social exclusion of the most vulnerable people.
