Bantleon Acquires Convertible Bond Specialist in Full
Bantleon has acquired the remaining 38 percent stake in Bantleon Convertible Experts (formerly Credit Suisse Investment Partners), according to a statement released on Wednesday.
Subject to approval by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma), the asset manager now owns 100 percent of the Zurich-based convertible bond specialist.
Bantleon cited the highly successful cooperation between the parties as a key reason why the minority shareholders agreed to the transaction. Since October 2024, assets under management have increased by 31 percent to €1,3 billion.
Expectations Exceeded
«The founders and minority shareholders initially wanted to see how the company would develop under Bantleon’s ownership,» said Bantleon Chief Executive Officer Stephan Kuhnke. «The past 20 months have demonstrated that the strong performance of the convertible bond funds, Bantleon’s excellent client service and the entrepreneurial culture shared by both organisations form an ideal combination.»
«Our expectations have been significantly exceeded,» said Stefan Hiestand, chairman of the company’s board of directors. «As the founder, it is particularly important to me that the company remains in good hands over the long term and can continue on its successful path. Through a long-term participation in the company’s success, I will remain closely connected to the business in the future.»
According to Bantleon, Bantleon Convertible Experts is one of Europe’s leading managers in the conservative convertible bond segment. The company points to awards received by its two retail funds from fund analysis firm LSEG Lipper in both 2025 and 2026 as evidence of its strong track record.
