Basler Kantonalbank has appointed Simone Marylander as its new head product and channel management.

Mayländer, who is based in Basel, assumed the position in June. In her new role, she is responsible for developing and implementing the product and channel strategy for the Basler Kantonalbank Group, as well as the ongoing evolution of its product portfolio.

She reports directly to Regula Berger, CEO of Basler Kantonalbank.

Mayländer succeeds Kristian Kleiber, who exited the BKB after 22 years at the bank.

Pensions leadership at UBS

Before Basler Kantonalbank, Mayländer spent over two decades at UBS. Most recently, she was head product management retirement and pensions solutions, where she also served as product owner and chapter lead. She formerly oversaw UBS’ pension products in the 2nd pillar (vested benefits and 1e solutions) and 3rd pillar as head product management and pension competence center. Previously, she was also head product management and head product management pensions products. From 2004 until 2007, she was team head for the advisory service center within the bank’s corporate and wholesale banking. Mayländer started her career in 1999 through a client advisory internship at Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank.
