Wenger Plattner Names New Partner
Wenger Plattner has appointed Dirk Spacek as a partner in its IP/IT & Data Protection practice, effective July 1, 2026. The move is intended to further expand the firm’s capabilities in technology, IT, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and data privacy law.
Spacek advises Swiss and international companies on complex matters at the intersection of technology, law, and business. His practice focuses on data-driven business models, digital platform and media regulation, e-commerce, outsourcing, cloud computing, and IT contracts, as well as data privacy and cybersecurity.
He also advises SMEs and startups on commercial contracts, supports technology-related M&A transactions, and represents clients in technically complex commercial disputes before Swiss courts. In addition, he serves as an accredited mediator at the Institution for IT and Data Dispute Resolution (ITDR).
According to Wenger Plattner, the appointment further strengthens the firm’s capabilities in an advisory area that continues to gain strategic importance as companies navigate digital transformation, evolving regulation, and growing cybersecurity risks.
