Swiss Life's asset management is closing down the branch in Lugano and will concentrate its operations in Zurich. The move will affect 30 employees in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland.

Swiss Life Asset Managers will introduce a new organizational structure in 2017 for its asset and fund management business in Switzerland, the company said in a statement today.

Swiss Life will merge the previously separately managed companies into one fund management company, Swiss Life Asset Management, which will be based in Zurich.

Swiss Life Switzerland to Stay Put in Ticino

As a result of the reorganization, the Lugano office is expected to be closed by the end of 2017, affecting 30 employees. The staff and employee representatives have been informed of the planned relocation.

Swiss Life Asset Managers will support the affected employees with their professional reorientation, whether inside or outside the company.

The operations and locations of Swiss Life Switzerland in Ticino isn't affected by the move.
