Fidelity International wants to increase its business with banks, insurers and asset managers in Switzerland and has hired a former Credit Suisse manager to help it along.

Fidelity International appointed Stefan Hirter as head of sales Switzerland, the company said in a statement today. Hirter will further develop the business with banks, insurers and asset managers in Switzerland.

Experience From Dresdner Bank and Credit Suisse

Hirter spent more than eight years at Credit Suisse (CS) and, as head wholesale distribution Switzerland, was responsible for the sale of funds to third-party banks, insurers, family offices and asset managers.

Before his time at CS, Hirter worked for Dresdner Bank Switzerland in investment sales and active advisory.

Member of Fund Association Committee

He graduated as a business economist and acquired a diploma as Swiss Fund Officer FA/IAF. He also is a member of the distribution and marketing committee of the Swiss Funds & Asset Management Association SFAMA.

One of his duties will be to increase the presence of Fidelity not only in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, but also in the French- and Italian-speaking regions.
