Decalia has appointed a new head of its business in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. He replaces Claudia Eftimie, who will pursue a new career challenge.

Decalia Asset Management, a Geneva-based wealth manager, hired Bernhard Utiger to replace Claudia Eftimie as region head of its business in German-speaking Switzerland, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

Decalia has been represented in the region since 2017 and now reinforces its committment to the business with the appointment of the retail professional. Utiger has almost 20 years of experience in the fund distribution business, with a client book that includes independent wealth managers, family offices, banks, insurers and institutional investors.

Four Major Investment Themes

Before joining Decalia, Utiger worked as a manager and senior distribution professional for Vontobel, Flossbach von Storch, J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Julius Baer Asset Management.

Decalia has 14 different investment strategies, which focus on four major topics: new consumer trends, quest for yield, disintermediation in banking and market inefficiencies.
