Decalia Asset Management is poaching an investment manager from Syz Asset Management, finews.com can reveal.

The Geneva-based asset manager is hiring Fabrizio Quirighetti as its chief investment officer (CIO), a source familiar with the hire told finews.com. His hire is effective October 1. A spokesperson for Decalia confirmed the move.

Quirighetti joins from Syz, a Genevan private bank, where he was investment chief and head of multi-asset. At Decalia, he will supervise asset allocation and bond funds and sit on strategy and investment committees.

Academic Start

Prior to Syz, where the executive spent more than 17 years at Syz, Quirighetti was a teaching assistant in the econometrics department at the University of Geneva for six years.

He holds a Master’s in applied econometrics from the University of Geneva and has been an external member of the tactical allocation committee of Compenswiss, the social security fund manager in Switzerland, for the past five years.
