A 40-year wealth management veteran has been appointed as Credit Suisse’s vice chairman for Asia Pacific, finews.asia has learned.

Credit Suisse appoints Jullie Kan as vice chairman and strategic lead APAC, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia, reporting to head of wealth management APAC Benjamin Cavalli.

In the role, Kan is tasked with providing senior client coverage of ultra-high net worth and key clients across the APAC region while working closely with market group heads, team leaders and senior bankers.

«As we prepare for our next phase of growth, we are excited for [Kan] to play a broader role in deepening our strategic client relationships and grooming our talent pool across Asia Pacific,» said Cavalli.

Kan has over 40 years of wealth management experience and was most recently Credit Suisse’s Southeast Asia vice chair, a role held since 2013. She first joined the Swiss lender in 1998 as a market group head for Malaysia before taking on various other senior roles.

In February 2023, Kan also joined the Credit Suisse Asia Pacific Foundation Board as a trustee as well as SymAsia Foundation's board of directors. A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo.
