VP Bank appoints Adrian Schneider to its Board of Directors. He also becomes the new head of its Liechtenstein market.

The Board of Directors of the VP Bank Group appoints Adrian Schneider to its Group Executive Management, and also assumes responsibility for the Liechtenstein home market effective August 1, according to a statement from the bank on Tuesday.

As the new head of the Liechtenstein region, Schneider is responsible for the regional market and sales activities of the intermediary and private client business in the Liechtenstein home market and two fund companies in Liechtenstein and Luxembourg.

Short Tenure at BZ Bank

He joins VP from BZ Bank in Wilen, where he was CEO starting in 2022, before which he was at the Graubuendner Kantonalbank between 2019 until 2022 as a chief investment officer and a member of the executive committee.

Schneider had resigned from BZ Bank because of a difficult relationship with the former owner as CEO, as also reported by finews.ch. BZ Bank was dominated for years by founder Martin Ebner. In June of last year, he sold his life's work to Graubuendner Kantonalbank, which acquired a 70 percent stake.

Younger Generation

In welcoming the 38-year-old Schneider, Group CEO Paul Arni said «As a representative of a younger generation, he brings this important perspective to Group Executive Management and will thus decisively shape the generation change on the client and employee side that is critical to success.»

His appointment to the board is subject to the approval of the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority.
