Swiss wealth tech company Etops adds experienced members to expand its board. They previously worked for Avaloq and Falcon Private Bank.

With the election of Tobias Unger and Markus Groeninger to the board of directors, Etops Group is expanding its board. The new members bring years of experience in building technology and service solutions for the financial industry, according to a statement Monday.

They're expected to help the wealth tech provider refine and implement its strategic vision and initiate further growth phases. 

Fintech Experience

Unger brings CEO and chief operating officer (COO) experience in financial technology, private- and investment banking, and M&A. He was COO and deputy CEO of Falcon Private Bank CEO of Avaloq Switzerland, and a board member of several fintech companies.

Today, he's the owner of a private equity advisory firm and CEO of a banking services provider in Germany.

Digitization Expert on Board

Markus Gröninger 555

Groeninger (pictured above), a digitization expert and experienced manager, has a long career at IT companies. Most recently, he held management positions in the Avaloq Group-- first as CEO of Avaloq outsourcing subsidiary B-Source and later as Group Chief Markets Officer. For the past five years, he's been supporting SMEs and start-ups in their digital transformation with his consulting company and acts as a professional board member and investor.

Founder Becomes Chairman

With the appointments of Unger and Groeninger as independent, non-executive board members, the board consists of three members. Founder and CEO Pius Stucki takes over as Chairman.
