Privatam, a structured products specialist, has appointed a new chief executive. The nuclear scientist is a co-founder of the firm and has a past in investment banking.

Massimo Passamonti has taken over executive responsibility at Privatam, a Monaco-based finance boutique. The company also has a branch in Zurich.

The new CEO takes over from a team of four co-founders and will be in sole charge of implementing and coordinating the company’s strategy. Passamonti was one of the team executive.

The nuclear scientist started his working career at CERN in Geneva. He joined Commerzbank and Mediobanca in London in 2005. In 2014 Passamonti founded Privatam together with Stan Perromat, Arthur Bauch and Steve Price.
