Switzerland’s Credit Suisse has put its German offshore team under new guidance. One of the two leaders it poached from rival UBS.

Credit Suisse named André Spiewak as head of key clients in Northern Germany and Nadine Maier as head of key clients in Southern Germany and Austria International, according to a statement released by the bank.

Spiewak (pictured below) joins the Swiss No. 2 from arch-rival UBS, the bank also said. He was head of the Hamburg branch and advised very rich (UHNWI) clients and family offices. Previously, he worked at Auretas Family Trust in Hamburg, where he was responsible for the acquisition of rich clients and family offices.

Maier (pictured below) joined the UHNWI-team of Credit Suisse in 2017 as a senior relationship manager. Before, she had led the key clients team Southern Germany and Switzerland at Deutsche Bank Switzerland and previously had worked at Dresdner Bank (today’s Commerzbank), where she focused on wealth planning and family office solutions.

The two bankers will cater to German family entrepreneurs and provide them with wealth management and investment banking solutions, Credit Suisse told finews.com. Spiewak and Maier will report to Mischa Tschopp, head of international wealth management Germany and Austria.
