Asset manager QCAM is bringing more expertise to its board and management, recruiting a veteran of both UBS and of Credit Suisse. 

Ekaterina Schiess 160Ekaterina Schiess (pictured, left) is joining the board of QCAM Asset Management, the Swiss-based boutique said in a statement on Tuesday. Schiess' more than 20-year career includes postings at UBS, Credit Suisse-owned Clariden Leu, and Bank Hofmann.

She is the first woman on the board of QCAM, which is is also adding forex expert and ex-Berenberg banker Gary Klopfenstein, and Hélie d’Hautefort, a currency expert and CEO of Optiminvest, a Genevan quantitative asset manager, as well as of Reserve Currency Solutions, a Zug-based blockchain firm specialized in currencies.

Led by CEO Thomas Suter, QCAM is also lifting Martin Pendert, a fund manager, to management. Pendert has been with QCAM since 2012, managing a macroeconomic strategy. QCAM manages roughly $5.3 billion on behalf of institutional clients.
