Cité Gestion, a Swiss wealth manager, has named five new partners. One of the five will join from BNP Paribas’ Swiss unit.

Cité Gestion, an erstwhile unit of Lombard Odier, has made four of its managers to partners: the four are Christian Hirt, Charles-Aymeric Hainault, Gauthier Merkli and Christoph Enz.

In addition to those four, the wealth manager has appointed a fifth new partner who will join from BNP Paribas, according to a statement on Thursday. Patrick Voegeli (pictured above), has spent the past 20 years at the French bank’s Swiss unit, with the last 10 years as its head of corporate and institutional clients’ business.

Further Expansion Envisaged

The appointment of Voegeli will allow Cité Gestion to further develop its business, expand the private client segment and strengthen the management team based in Zurich, which emerged in 2019 through a combination of Cité Gestion with Ultra Finanz.

Since six managing partners had taken the company over from Lombard Odier in 2017, it has increased assets under management to more than 4.5 billion Swiss francs ($4.9 billion) from 2.2 billion francs. The number of staff in Geneva and Zurich also doubled from 28 to 57.
