The head of Switzerland at U.S. asset manager BNY Mellon Investment Management is stepping down into the second tier. A new country head has been appointed.

BNY Mellon Investment Management has appointed Martin Rees (pictured below) as its country head for Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein, according to a statement released on Tuesday.

Rees will be responsible for developing the strategic direction of the business in Switzerland, leading the local team and representing BNY Mellon Investment Management's investment firms locally. He succeeds Juerg Zollinger (pictured above), who will remain on the team and focus on institutional sales, according to the statement.

This comes as part of the longer-term plan for team adjustment that has been in place for some time.
