The Swiss crypto bank is expanding its management with a new hire from Avaloq, as its replaces its finance chief.

Zug-based Seba is streamlining its client-centric business into a client and technology solutions arm led by Mathias Schuetz, effective October 18, it said in a statement on Tuesday. Schuetz was most recently CEO of Avaloq's sourcing business in Switzerland.

The two-year-old crypto bank also said Alena Nicolai Gwerder will take over as finance chief next month for David Matter, who is leaving to take a job outside of Seba. The bank's markets and investment solutions arm will continue to be run by Urs Bernegger and Ritesh Dutta.

Philipp Baretta, a Seba founding partner who currently oversees client and investment solutions, is retiring from the executive role but remains a strategic advisor. CEO Guido Buehler said the changes strengthen its client solutions through scale and sturdiness, and help ensure better access to market liquidity and product development.
