Cat Financial Products landed another Leonteq stalwart as an investor, finews.com has learned.

Michael Hartweg, who co-founded structured products provider Leonteq, is taking an undisclosed stake in Cat Financial Products, where he will be a strategic advisor. A spokesman for the company confirmed the move.

He is the second Leonteq veteran at Cat after David Schmid, who co-owns the start-up and devotes himself to strategically driving its product range both in Switzerland and internationally. Former Leonteq lawyer Ulrich Sauter is a partner at Cat.

Hartweg was also a founding investor of Evolute, another financial technology firm which was sold to Etops 13 months ago. He began his career at Commerzbank and later Goldman Sachs in structured products.
