Reyl Intesa Sanpaolo has names bank veteran Nicholas Besson chief investment officer.

Nicholas Besson takes on the role of chief investment office at Geneva-based Reyl Intesa Sanpaolo as of April 1, the firm said in a statement Tuesday.

Besson joined Reyl & Cie in 2015 from Credit Suisse, taking on the role of head of bonds and senior portfolio manager, after which he was appointed deputy investment director.

At Reyl, Besson will be overseeing investments in the full range of asset classes. He will also focus on developing a platform for collective investment products and advisory services, and work in collaboration with chief impact officer Jon Duncan to fully integrate the firm's impact dimension.

In his nearly three decades in banking, Besson in addition to his time with Credit Suisse and Reyl, gained experience at Unigestion, Republic National Bank of New York, LODH Group, as global co-head of fixed income, and at HSBC Private Bank as head of fixed income management and strategy in Geneva.
