At the start of 2023, Credit Suisse's Swiss IT operations will be under new management.  The new boss is expected to drive the digitalization of the bank's operations and offerings.

Jesper Andersen takes the reins as head of IT Switzerland at Credit Suisse from January 1 next year and becomes a member of the executive board of Credit Suisse Switzerland as well as the Chief Information Officer Management Committee, the bank announced Wednesday in a media release.

Since 2017 Andersen has been CIO and a member of the executive board at Nykredit. Before that, he held various CIO roles at Nordea from 2012 to 2017 and senior technology roles at Goldman Sachs from 1998 to 2012.

Andersen reports to global CIO Laura Barrowman and André Helfenstein, CEO of Credit Suisse Switzerland.

In welcoming Andersen to Credit Suisse, Helfenstein said «with Jesper, we welcome a proven technology expert who has decades of experience in the financial sector. I am convinced he will advance our IT platform and effectively drive digitalization efforts in close collaboration with the relevant business areas."
