Swiss digital private bank Alpian appointed a new vice president of business development. He joins from online bank Swissquote.

Karim Yakhloufi becomes vice president of business development at Alpian, with a remit of structuring and expanding the private client segment and partnerships, the Geneva-based digital private bank said Wednesday in an emailed statement.

Yakhloufi brings more than two decades years of financial industry experience. He joins Alpian from the online bank Swissquote, where he was most recently vice director and member of the executive board responsible for developing the private client business in the DACH region of Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Prior to that, he was co-director of online broker Strateo, a branch of Arkéa Direct Bank, for over seven years.

Alpian was founded in 2019 and bills itself as a digital private bank. In March 2022, the bank obtained a full banking license from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma).
