Edmond de Rothschild Adds Two New Hires to Its Quant Team

The team, led by Bruno Taillardat, Head of Quantitative Management at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management, has launched the first three funds under the new quantitative platform. The strategies, branded as «Quartz», include the equity funds Core EMU Equity, Core US Equity and Defensive Global Equity.

According to a statement released on Tuesday, quantitative analysts and portfolio managers Yu Sun and Juan Sebastian Caicedo have joined the quant team. Based in Paris, they report directly to Taillardat. Their appointments complete the quantitative management team established in Geneva in 2025, following the recruitment of Xavier Marconnet and Frédéric Girod in November 2025.

Experienced in Quantitative Investing

Sun joined Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management in March 2026 as a quantitative analyst and portfolio manager within the quantitative management team in Paris. She brings ten years of experience in quantitative and systematic investing, most notably from Amundi Asset Management, where she managed European and global quantitative equity funds, and from Lyxor Asset Management, where she contributed to the launch and management of quantitative equity funds.

Caicedo joined Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management in April 2026 as a quantitative analyst and portfolio manager within the quantitative management team in Paris. He began his career in 2005 as a mathematics teacher in Bogotá before moving into the asset management industry in 2009 with the Natixis Group in Paris.

He subsequently held various quantitative management and research positions at Natixis’ quantitative investment arm Seeyond and later at Ostrum Asset Management, where he was involved in the development and management of European and global quantitative equity strategies.
