Frankencoin to Be Listed on International Crypto Exchange
With today’s listing, the range of options for users who want to hold and trade digital assets in Swiss francs is expanding, the Swiss Stablecoin Association Frankencoin said in a statement on Thursday.
Frankencoin brings the Swiss franc onto public blockchains. In a market dominated by dollar stablecoins, ZCHF offers an alternative in Swiss francs, it added.
Easier Access
The listing on Kraken makes access easier for users who prefer a centralized trading platform and connects them with the existing Frankencoin ecosystem.
ZCHF is designed to reflect the value of the Swiss franc; its backing and the system’s functionality can be tracked on the blockchain.
The Frankencoin protocol has existed since 2023. Users can create ZCHF themselves by depositing suitable collateral. The rules are set out in publicly visible smart contracts.
“The value of the Swiss franc should also be easily accessible in the digital financial world,” says Johannes Kern, Managing Director of the Frankencoin Association. “The listing on Kraken creates another gateway to Frankencoin and strengthens the presence of the franc in the international crypto infrastructure.”
