Wealth manager Bellecapital launches London offensive
The Zurich-based wealth manager Bellecapital has started a new team of five client advisers in London. They are David Littler, Brooke Pugh, James Redburn, Lorna Jackson and Luke Kauntze. They have been on board since October 19.
The team comes from Rathbones. According to industry service "Citywire", which first reported the move, it had already left the British wealth manager earlier this year.
Twelve advisers for British clients
With the new hires, Bellecapital now has twelve relationship managers in the UK, Valerie von Stotzingen, COO of Bellecapital UK, told finews. The firm mainly serves clients in the British market as well as Britons living abroad.
Overall, Bellecapital manages around 6 billion francs. The company does not provide a breakdown for its UK business.

Eberle's London assignment
The expansion follows the generational change at the top (finews reported). Founding partners Beat Bass and Mark Eberle have moved to the board of directors, while operational leadership is now with CEO Tobias Faes.
Since then, Eberle has focused on strategic tasks, including the expansion of the UK business. England is set to become an important growth market for Bellecapital in the coming years.
From Berkeley Square to Berkeley Street
Bellecapital took its step into London in 2015 with the founding of Bellecapital UK (finews reported). In early 2016, it followed up with the acquisition of Williams de Broë Private Investment from Investec (finews reported).
The British subsidiary is regulated by the FCA financial supervisory authority. It is now located on Berkeley Street, just a few steps from its original site on Berkeley Square in Mayfair.
