Descartes Finance, a Swiss digital wealth manager, is expanding into real estate financing and has hired an experienced banker from HSBC for this purpose, according to information obtained by finews.com.

Descartes Finance is adding a private banker to its office in Zurich. Malcolm Dastur will add his experience to the wealth management expertise of founder and CEO Adriano B. Lucatelli.

Hiring Dastur enables Descartes to expand into real estate: «In future, Descartes will offer digital advisory to real estate companies,» Lucatelli told finews.com.

Personal and Digital

Dastur joins from HSBC (Switzerland). He started his career at UBS and later joined J. Safra Sarasin, where he developed a family office for a large client. He also established a real estate business with an emphasis on international property development.

Descartes Finance has a hybrid model of personal and digital advisory, creating transparence and low costs. At the end of 2017, the firm added Roger M. Levola to its team to help with the advice of premium customers.
