Bank Julius Baer is hiring three new relationship managers in Geneva to join its Middle East and Africa desk.

In order to continue to drive the growth of its business for the Middle East and Africa, Julius Baer hired three new relationship managers in Geneva to serve clients in the region.

James Taylor and Mehdi Abhah join Julius Baer as senior relationship managers at the beginning of March, while Anders Wennerholm joined as a relationship manager at the beginning of last month. The trio will report to Yvan Wicht, head of Middle East & Africa in Geneva, according to a statement on Wednesday.

Taylor and Wennerholm were both previously with Barclays Private Bank in Geneva, while Abhah joins from Credit Suisse in Geneva.

Expansion Plans

In August of last year, Julius Baer added two senior relationship managers with JP Morgan veteran Jonathan A. Conner, and Thomas E.M. Kloss who joined from HSBC Private Bank in Geneva, as finews.com reported.

Then in October, Julius Baer was granted a license by Qatar's financial regulator to open its third Middle East advisory office in Doha.

Régis Burger, global head for the Middle East and Africa, underscored the firm's expansion plans upon hiring the new relationship managers. «We have successfully expanded our Middle East franchise during the past decades. The new team members are perfectly equipped to support our further development out of Geneva, an important location for Julius Baer,» he said.
