Along with Gevers, fellow board member Diego Pons is also stepping down. The move represents a complete renewal: original board member Guido Schmitz-Krummacher threw in the towel last year.

Legal Woes Remain

Tezos said Jesperson's and Mauny's appointment were unanimous, which means Gevers had made good on a pledge made in a blog post last month, but quickly removed, as finews.com reported.

Gevers and the Breitmans fell out last year, shortly after the successful ICO. The couple levied accusations of misdealing against Gevers, who countered that the Breitmans had sought to interfere in the foundation's business without holding a formal role. Six months later, Tezos is beset with at least six class action lawsuits in the U.S. – which the appointments do nothing to defuse.

Earlier this month, Tezos' foundation named Lars Haussmann, a Swiss fiduciary, as a new trustee. The foundation didn't disclose what led to Thursday's shuffle, saying only it will expand the number of board members «in the near future».
