French asset manager Amundi is poaching from Blackrock for its top Swiss sales manager. It isn't the first raid on the U.S. giant.

Amuni will strengthen its distribution by hiring Marc Broennimann (pictured below) as its new sales manager in Switzerland, it said in an emailed statement. He will report to Christian Trixl, Amundi's Swiss CEO.

Broennimann spent the last two and a half years with Blackrock's exchange-traded fund unit Ishares, where he was responsible for independent asset managers and family office clients in Switzerland. Prior to the U.S. firm, he worked for Credit Suisse, including in U.S. private banking until 2012 and later with independent asset managers as well as corporate clients.

He isn't the first Blackrock banker to defect to Amundi: the French fund house grabbed Marco Strohmeier, Blackrock's deputy head of Ishares less than two months ago.
