The Swiss bank is hiring a veteran communications executive to hone its brand and oversee marketing.

Zurich-based Credit Suisse is naming Stephanie Trachsel as its global head of brand management and strategy, effective June 1, it said in an emailed statement. She is currently director of strategy in Zurich for advertising agency TBWA.

A New Zealand native, Trachsel will oversee the newly merged marketing strategy, branding, and human resources and employer branding areas, the bank said. She will report to Dang Nguyen, who is the Swiss bank's global head of strategy, brand, and advertising.

Trachsel previously worked as head of Publicis' UBS strategy team as well as for clients including McDonald’s, Porsche, Coop, Zuercher Kantonalbank, and Generali. She joins Credit Suisse as the bank grapples with the collapse of a $10.1 billion line of supply chain funds.
