Descartes Finance is adding two directors to its board, in a bid to bolster its expertise in leadership and sustainability.

The Zurich-based start-up is appointing Mirjam Schaffner as well as Anna Stuenzi to its board, effective immediately, it said in a statement on Friday. This strengthens the body led by digital expert Rino Borini in the areas of leadership and sustainability.

Schaffner, a brand-driven leadership and change management expert, founded consulting firms Synfluence and Coleop. Stuenzi runs Swiss Foraus and co-founded the think-tank's sustainable fintech initiative four years ago.

Their appointments bring Descarte's board to four people, including private equity investor Eric Gisiger. The fintech last year took outside money for the first time, in an unspecified fundraising.
