The top risk manager at Credit Suisse's investment bank is to leave in the wake of a critical internal report into the losses sustained when the Archegos hedge fund collapsed.

The chief risk officer at Credit Suisse’s investment bank Ralf Hafner is to leave the bank at the end of next, month, a Credit Suisse spokeswoman said, confirming an earlier report on Swiss financial news website «Handelszeitung».

According to his LinkedIn profile, Hafner only joined the bank just over a year ago after almost 24 years at Goldman Sachs.

Last week an internal report on the Archegos debacle said there was a failure to manage and escalate risks in the prime services business effectively.
