The gatekeeper of former Credit Suisse chairman Urs Rohner is leaving the Swiss bank for a career in public affairs.

Dynamics, a Zurich-based public relations agency, is hiring Urs Grob as a partner, effective immediately, it said in a statement on Monday. Grob was chief of staff to long-time Credit Suisse overseer Urs Rohner, who in April apologized to shareholders for the Swiss bank's repeated disasters on his way out.

Prior to joining Dynamics, where he is focusing on public affairs, government relations, and reputation and crisis management, Grob had spent several years with local government. He joined Credit Suisse in 2019.

Grob's role at the Swiss bank has long been filled by Janet Hotz, a veteran of Credit Suisse who in May became chief of staff to António Horta Osório, Rohner's replacement. Earlier on Monday, the bank said Horta Osório will update investors on a wide-ranging strategy review when it reports the quarter on Thursday.
