Zurich-based financial boutique Bellevue Group has closed an SME investment fund to further subscriptions. The funds raised will be invested to build a portfolio of growth-oriented equity investments.

The «Bellevue Entrepreneur Private Strategy» fund was closed for further subscriptions at 63 million francs ($64.9 million), Bellevue said Monday, after it received capital commitments, some of them significant, from «well-known institutional investors and high net worth individuals.»

Since the start of the investment period in the second quarter of 2021, a significant portion of the committed money has already been invested. It achieved steady growth in proprietary deal flow and average investment size in its Entrepreneur Private strategy, Bellevue said.

Additional Strategies

Among the companies in the portfolio is a technologically leading producer of optical components that manufactures high-performance lenses for industrial applications or the consumer electronics industry, such as smartphones. The investment focus would be on financially very solid SMEs that are in the midst of their growth phase.

The fund is the first in a series of private equity strategies Bellevue plans to launch in the coming years.
