The resignation of Migros Bank's Chairman triggers a search for his replacement.

Fabrice Zumbrunnen has decided to step down as Chairman of the Migros Bank board of directors at the end of April, according to a statement (in German) from the cooperative on Tuesday.

His decision to step down as Chairman of the general management of the federation of Migros cooperatives (MGB) is also effective in April, after serving ten years in the general management and five years as Chairman. He is leaving to «pursue new career paths,» according to the statement. 

Successor Search

Zumbrunnen's departure triggers a search for a successor and he will remain available to ensure a smooth transition and support the introduction of his successor, the statement continued.

Of the departure, Migros Bank CEO Manuel Kunzelmann said «On behalf of the Executive Board, I would like to thank Fabrice Zumbrunnen for the inspiring and appreciative cooperation over the past years and for his support in the new strategic direction of the bank, which was initiated in 2021. I wish him all the best for his private and professional future.»
