Deutsche Bank is bolstering its Swiss team catering to clients in South and Central America with a new Latam desk in Zurich.

As Deutsche Bank expands its international private bank business in Latin America it is hiring bankers in Switzerland to cater to them, it said in an emailed statement Friday.

Arlene Schuchard, Pio Valdes and German Pfeffer are joining Deutsche Bank's international private bank unit where they will help grow the family office and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) client segment in Brazil, Mexico and the Central, Andean and South Coast markets, the statement said.

Schuchard will report to Billy Obregon and lead the Latam team in Switzerland, responsible for both Geneva and the newly created Latam desk in Zurich.

Schuchard previously worked at Credit Suisse, UBS and ABN Amro in locations including Mexico City, New York, San Francisco and Zurich. She was instrumental in establishing an international women's network at Credit Suisse to bring together like-minded women, build relationships and share best practices, the statement said.

Swiss Location

Deutsche Bank's international private bank uses Switzerland as its booking center. Latam teams in Switzerland and the US provide a multi-shore booking model across EMEA and the US, the statement adds.
