Credit Suisse is hiring an independent family office specialist to cater to wealthy Europeans. She will report directly to the Swiss bank's head of private banking, Iqbal Khan.

The Zurich-based bank on Wednesday hired Alexandra Dhavernas von Elverfeldt as a managing director, in a bid to expand its business with ultra-high net worth clients, or those with more than $50 million in assets.

The move is a coup for Credit Suisse private bank head Iqbal Khan: Dhavernas von Elverfeldt is a heavyweight in the lucrative ultra-rich segment. Since 2010, she has run her own corporate finance boutique, Trocadero, where she offers investment banking, strategic, and governance advice to the super-wealthy in French- and German-speaking Europe.

Her focus has been on primary deals on behalf of wealthy families, in particular in the automotive, education, luxury goods, food and beverage, wine and spirits, medtech, testing and inspection, and media sectors. Previously, Dhavernas von Elverfeldt spent more than ten years with Quilvest Group, and five years as CEO of Quilvest Capital in Germany. She will report directly to Khan.
