Vicenda Group with Chairman Walter Berchtold has attracted an experienced banker as new partner. He has more than 30 years of experience gathered mainly through jobs at major banks.

Vicenda Group is a global investment boutique with a focus on private markets. The Baar-based company taken on Henry Rohrer as partner, it said in a statement on Monday.

Rohrer will help Vicenda with its expansion in the business with institutional investors, family offices and very rich clients. He joins from Credit Suisse, where, since 2014, he had been a vice chairman and strategic adviser for institutional clients, family offices and very rich clients.

Fixed Income Expert

From 2000 through 2014, Rohrer had been head of coverage Switzerland at the fixed income unit of Credit Suisse and Credit Suisse First Boston.
In his career of 30 years, Rohrer focused mainly on fixed income at UBS, Bank of America, Paribas Capital Markets, Barclays Capital and RMF Investment Group in London and Zurich.

Walter Berchtold, the erstwhile head of private banking at Credit Suisse, has been chairman of Vicenda Group for about a year. He said that Rohrer had a formidable track record in the advise of institutional investors, family offices and rich clients and a very broad network.

A Billion in Transactions

Vicenda has 15 experts in the area of finance, legal, structuring and technology. Since being founded in 2013, the company has developed financing solutions for companies, banks and investors and been part in transactions worth more than a 1 billion Swiss francs ($1.03 billion).
