Swiss digital wealth manager Descartes aims to improve the knowledge about private pension provision in Switzerland. It has launched a think tank with four advisers.

The Descartes think tank will include four people from finance, technology and behavioral economics. They will promote new ideas for the private pension provision in Switzerland. Descartes Finance, an independent digital wealth manager, hopes to improve the appreciation among Swiss investors for savings in the so-called 3a funds and securities.

The think tank includes Michael Stemmle, founder and CEO of Additiv, Blockchain entrepreneur Isabella Brom, investment expert Iwan Brot and Gerhard Fehr, an adviser on behavioral economics.

Descartes sells digital 3a solutions and other products for the pension provision in Switzerland. Swiss employees can save for the private pension in so-called 3a accounts. Up to an equivalent of about 600 Swiss francs a month, the money saved in this way can be deducted from the income tax.
