Impact investment App Inyova has appointed one of the pioneers of Swiss sustainable finance to its board.

Alois Flatz is to join the board of impact investing platform Inyova, the company, formerly known as Yova said Monday.

In the press release Inyova said he would help speed up the fintech’s expansion.

Flatz is one of the pioneers of sustainable finance in Switzerland.

He was head of research at fund manager Sustainable Asset Management SAM (now Robeco), chairman of the Zurich-based financial boutique Forma Futura as well as an advisor to Generation Investment Management, a company co-founded by former U.S. vice-president Al Gore.

While he was at SAM he played a major role in the setting up of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

In 2018 Flatz took a stake in Inyova. In May, the company raised over 11 million Swiss francs ($12 million) and at the end of June made a foray into the German market.
