Geneva-based bank software company Temenos is creating an unusual top position. The new man has his work cut out for him.

Erich Gerber is joining banking software specialist Temenos as President and Chief Revenue Officer effective March 1, according to a statement from the company. 

He will be tasked with expanding the worldwide customer base with a particular focus on moving into new markets and increasing the company’s presence in large tier 1 and 2 banks.

Gerber joins Temenos in Geneva from IT company Tibco. He will report to CEO Max Chuard.

Higher Dividend

In its 2021 annual report published on Monday evening, the company expects increased growth in the months ahead despite weaker earnings and volume gains in the fourth quarter. 

Still, for the year as a whole, the company managed to acquire 63 new banking customers and increase revenue by 7 percent to $967 million.

Earnings per share increased by 7 percent to $3.80, leading the Board of Directors to propose an increased dividend to 1 Swiss franc per share from 90 centimes.
