UBS is keen to retain Credit Suisse's talent in the key growth market of Asia. But another top executive is moving to a competitor.

Deutsche Bank has appointed Nora Yeung from Credit Suisse as co-head of equity capital markets for Asia Pacific.

Yeung joins the German bank in Hong Kong in September, according to an internal memo obtained by «Bloomberg» (behind paywall). She will co-head the business with Melody Ngan, reporting to Haitham Ghattas, head of capital markets for the region.

Yeung's career at Credit Suisse spanned 12 years, where her most recent role was co-head of Equity Capital Markets origination for APAC. Before that, she worked for Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in Hong Kong and London.

A Deutsche Bank spokesperson confirmed the contents of the memo.
