Franco Morra: Can He Go Any Higher?
The former HSBC Swiss CEO has maintained a low profile since last April when he left the British bank amid a shake-up that curtailed his authority. Top jobs for wealth managers with the career experience of Franco Morra, a former long-time BCG consultant, are hard to come by. This is especially true because the mercurial Morra is well-known in the industry for his impatience with those he views as intellectually inferior.
He quietly incorporated as a one-man consulting firm in January. finews.com’s prediction: Morra could pop up in a management-level role at either UBS, where he co-ran UBS’ private bank with Zeltner during the financial crisis, or at Credit Suisse.
