Eric Sarasin has agreed to become chairman of a Swiss financial-services firm. The company is an independent research and investment advisory specialist with a focus on new technological tools.

Singularity Group named Eric Sarasin as its new chairman, according to a statement released by the company. Sarasin left J. Safra Sarasin, where he led the private-banking business, in 2014. He will help Singularity identify innovative firms in connection with digitization and the blockchain.

Singularity Group was founded in October 2017 by Evelyne Pflugi, a former GAM fund manager, and Tobias Reichmuth, CEO of infrastructure investor Susi Partners. Sarasin joined the group in August 2018 as a member of the supervisory board.

Sarasin and Reichmuth are founders of the Crypto Finance Conference. He is also a member of the board of 1875 Finance, a family office.
