Lombard Odier's asset management arm has hired a new distribution team in London to cater to European family offices. The team will be led by a former Goldman Sachs banker.

Geneva-based Lombard Odier's investment arm wants to target family offices in Europe with customized services, the Swiss firm said in a statement on Tuesday. To do so, it is launching a family offices team from London.

Ex-Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers

Ahmed Husain, head of family offices in Europe, will lead the team. He will focus on single family offices with more than £1 billion of net worth. Caroline Crochet (pictured below) also joins, reporting to Husain. The team is reports to Carolina Minio-Paluello, head of sales and solutions globally.

Husain joins from Altice Capital, the investment vehicle of Israeli-French billionaire Patrick Drahi, where he was a partner for two years. Previously, Husain spent eight years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a managing director and tended to wealthy European clients and their family offices. He also spent seven years at Lehman Brothers, where he expanded the now-defunct American bank's business with structured corporate bonds.
