A Blackrock distribution manager has joined Nordea Asset Management in Zurich. At the Nordic company, he is advising retail and institutional clients.
Nordea Asset Management appointed Stefan Edelmann as sales director in Zurich, according to a statement released on Tuesday. He has taken up his position in December and is working with clients in wholesale and the institutional segment. Edelmann is reporting to José Machi, the head of fund distribution in Switzerland.
Edelmann, a certified investment analyst, joined from Blackrock, the U.S. fund giant, where he worked as relationship manager, selling funds to banks, family offices and independent wealth managers. Previously, he also worked for UBS.
Nordea Asset Management is part of Nordea Group, Scandinavia’s biggest financial services group. It manages about 230 billion euros ($255 billion). The company has been active in Switzerland for the past two decades.
