A veteran private banker has joined the expanding team at independent firm VT Wealth Management in Zurich. He has extensive market knowledge that goes far beyond the financial sector.

Zurich-based independent asset manager VT Wealth Management has hired Marcus Reppel as a client advisor, according to a report on finews.ch. He most recently worked at Swiss investment firm Vontobel and has almost 20 years of professional experience.

Prior to that, he worked for UBS, Credit Suisse, and Notenstein La Roche Private Bank, which was acquired by Vontobel in July 2018.

Marketing Premium South African Wines

He is considered an expert on South Africa and not only has relevant expertise from the finance industry but he also markets premium South African wines (in german only) in his free time, according to our information.

Reppel decided to leave his previous employer in order to optimize customer services by switching to VT Wealth Management. The move means he can collaborate with global partners in various fields such as financing, M&A, and crypto/blockchain. Big banks are often very constrained in these areas.

Transition of Generations Completed

Founded in 2008 by Thomas Fedier and Joseph Belle, VT Wealth Management currently has around 30 employees and is led by Fedier’s son, Sacha Fedier. The company manages several billion Swiss francs in client funds – it has not provided more detailed information.

For Reppel it’s also important that VT Wealth Management is owned by the founding family and that the transition of the generations was completed years ago. «These family relationships provide stability, which is greatly valued by clients, whether they’re family offices, institutions, or entrepreneurs.»
