The Qatari-backed wealth manager is poised to wrap up a Swiss acquisition, and is hiring three more bankers with ties to UBS, finews.com has learned.

Quintet, formerly KBL, is hiring Dirk Dillinger as the finance chief for its soon-to-be Swiss unit, and Eva Selamlar-Leuthold as the division's legal boss, three sources familiar with the hires told finews.com. The bankers begin in their respective jobs on March 1.

The hires show that Quintet's push into Switzerland is taking shape: it is buying Swiss-based Bank am Bellevue, an acquisition which is due to close in coming weeks. The Swiss unit is run by Dagmar Kamber-Borensa veteran of UBS who most recently spent two years as operating chief of Credit Suisse's Swiss arm.

Quintet's overall CEO Juerg Zeltner has hired heavily from UBS – and Kamber-Borens is also doing so. Both of her new Swiss hires are veterans of the Swiss wealth giant: Dillinger for 15 years, most recently as finance chief in Singapore for the wealth arm's business partnerships. Selamlar-Leuthord has been with UBS since 2011, and is currently head of regulatory change for investor protection.

The Qatari-based wealth manager nabbed another ex-UBS banker: Phil Higson will join Quintet as its family office head, effective immediately. Higson held a similar role at UBS for three years until 2017, and has run an independent wealth advice boutique for the last two years. He works for the Luxembourg parent and will be based in Zurich.
