The Swiss online bank Swissquote has agreed a deal with U.S. carmaker Tesla. Together they will launch a new service for drivers of Tesla cars in Switzerland.

Leasing is very popular with Swiss drivers, who have a penchant for pricy models. With the latest trend for electric cars, consumers again are faced with elevated prices, making leasing even more popular.

Swissquote has now concluded a partnership deal with carmaker Tesla, according to a statement released on Friday. Together, the two companies will launch a leasing product.

Digital Bank Under Development

The leasing service aims to make the financing of a Tesla as effortless as driving one, Swissquote said. With Swissquote's entry into the leasing market, customers can benefit from an enhanced digital experience that enables a swift processing of their leasing requests.

Gland-based Swissquote is currently developing a digital bank. It has teamed up with Postfinance and will launch a new digital offering in spring 2021. The new product will rival the services of Revolut and Neon, with a free-of-charge basic package and premium pay-per-use services.
